The Michael Gungor Band may be considered a relatively new group, but they're definitely not new to the world of Christian Music. The band is fronted by former solo artist Michael Gungor, who led worship for many years at the mega church, Resurrection Life, near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gungor released a solo album in 2003 which was hailed as %E2%80%9Cone of the year's best worship albums from one of the most promising new worship leaders%E2%80%9D by ChristianityToday.com. For the past several years, Gungor has been a part of the youth worship movement that has been sweeping the nation by leading worship at large youth events like %E2%80%98Acquire the Fire' and %E2%80%98Teen Mania'. One of these influential nights of worship led by Gungor was recorded live in Lyndale, TX and released as the album Battle Cry: Worship on the Frontlines.
